How Live Guest Illustration Works at Your Wedding
Before
Prior to your wedding, we’ll have a relaxed chat (in person or online) to discuss your vision, guest list, and any special requests. I’ll help you plan the perfect way to integrate the live portrait experience, ensuring it fits beautifully with your wedding style.
During
I’ll arrive at your venue ahead of your guests, ready to set up a portrait station. Throughout the event I’ll invite guests to pose for a quick photo, which I’ll use as a reference as I paint their portrait live. Guests love watching their likeness come to life before their eyes – and they can take their unique artwork home at the end of the day!
After
For any guests I haven’t had a chance to sketch, I’ll finish their portraits after the wedding and post them to you within two weeks. This means every guest who wants one will receive a personalised keepsake to remember your special day.

Live illustration starts from £1000
This includes:
– Live Illustration of up to 40 guests during the event (typically 8–9 hours of live illustrating)
– All materials (I bring my own paper, display canvas, and art supplies)
– Any portraits not completed on the day will be finished and posted to you within 2 weeks, so every guest gets a unique keepsake
– Transport within London areas
– Pre-wedding meetings to ensure everything runs smoothly
Extras:
– £15 per additional guest (over the initial 40 guests)
– For weddings outside of London (UK): I require the cost of transport and 1-2 night’s accommodation (depending on distance)
– International weddings: Happy to take on weddings outside the UK! Please get in touch to discuss your plans

How does live guest illustration work at a wedding?
I arrive at your venue before your guests and set up my portrait station. Guests can pose for a quick photo, then I paint their portrait live as they continue celebrating. Everyone is welcome to watch their artwork come to life!
How many guests can you illustrate in a day?
Typically, I illustrate around 30–40 guests during your event. For larger weddings, I’ll finish any remaining portraits after the day and post them to you within two weeks, so every guest who wants one gets a unique keepsake.
What do you need on the day?
Just a table and chair for my portrait station – I bring all my own materials and canvas. No extra equipment is required!
How do you manage queues or waiting guests?
I work in a relaxed, guest-friendly way – I take photo’s of the guests, usually on a first-come, first-served basis, and work my way through your guest list. I then draw them from the photo, so they don’t need to wait, just go party and come back later to find their illustration up on the board. This keeps things moving smoothly and avoids long queues.
Do you travel for weddings outside London?
Yes! I’m happy to travel anywhere in the UK and abroad. For weddings outside London, I just ask for travel and accommodation costs to be covered.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner, the better! Popular dates fill up quickly, so get in touch as early as possible to secure your booking.
Can you match my wedding theme or colour palette?
Absolutely! I can tailor my artwork to fit your wedding style, colours, or any special requests you have—just let me know in our planning meeting.
What happens if not all guests get their portrait on the day?
No problem! Any portraits not completed live will be finished after the wedding and posted to you within two weeks, so you can make sure every guest receives their keepsake.
Are live guest portraits suitable for all ages?
Yes! Kids and adults alike love the experience, making it a hit with guests of every generation.
Can guests talk to you as you work?
